Here’s another old jangly Jah Knee tune called “Season Premiere.” It appeared on my second cassette-based album Disco Sex Epic. The 13-track full-length was given away free to friends and co-released by The Kiwi Project, a now-defunct imprint run by my friend Evan Shurak. The cover artwork was created by the late, great Todd Baldwin.

Here’s an early track I created under my Jah Knee moniker. It first appeared on my debut, privately released cassette-based album, Dope Demo. I eventually released three more Jah Knees, including one on a proper indie label, before I finally got tired of trying to tune my guitar.
Recorded in 1993 in Tenleytown, Washington, D.C., the track reflects my musical interests at the time: indie guitar jangle and loopy techno-pop. Amazingly, the track would re-emerge two years later on a cassette compilation called “The Art of Rocketry Stage 2: Afterburn,” released by my pal Derek Morton on his now-defunct ROCKER! Supernova imprint. It’s kinda groovy!
